Side swept cornrows are going to be beyond popular this spring and summer. Check out how I made the most of this simple twist on your standard cornrows. Think this style lacks versatility? Think again!
During the holidays I really put my hair through the ringer. There we so many events and special occasions to get all dolled up for I just could resist! By the time the holiday season came to an end my hair had just about had it. I knew it was time for a more permanent protective style other than the lace front wig I had been wearing from time to time. (Get the scoop on my lace front wig here) I had told myself I was going to wait until summer to try out these side swept cornrows but I clearly couldn’t wait that long and to be honest this style is perfect year round.
Style: side swept feeder cornrows
Hair: xpressions braiding hair

Not having had cornrows since I was younger I was a bit skeptical of this style at first, mainly because I thought it lacked versatility compared to say box braids. Boy was I wrong! I intentionally pushed myself to think of new ways to style these cornrows and ended up with 4 favorites!

Much like the "little black dress" the "little black tote" can be found in every woman's arsenal. It represents her go-to tote, bag, or purse that she wouldn't dare leave home without. It's filled with what she finds essential and a few surprises tucked in there too. This blog is just that! My little black tote.
